FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When can you start?
A. Time is of the essence in most insurance restorations. From temporary weatherproofing, to getting power or heating/air conditioning working again quickly, we are positioned to mobilize immediately to begin bringing a home back to pre-loss condition. For remodeling and additions, it is generally better to have all decisions made and materials in hand prior to starting work in order to minimize disruption of the household and to keep the duration of the work as short as possible.
Q. Will I need three estimates for this insurance claim?
A. No. We use the estimating program that is the industry standard and write estimates in the format preferred by insurance companies. This format and pricing allows the adjuster to easily ensure that all costs included are legitimate and necessary.
Q. How long will our kitchen be unusable during our kitchen remodel?
A. Usually less than a week. With all decisions made ahead of time and all ordered materials in hand prior to starting, work can be scheduled to minimize down time. While the project probably won't be complete in that time frame, the kitchen would generally be functional for all but a short period of time. Some counter-tops or floor coverings can cause this to take longer.

Smoke and Fire Damage

Q. Someone told me we would never get the smoke smell out of the house after this fire. Is this true?
A. No. Although there are many places smoke odor can hide in a house after a fire, from our experience and knowledge we know where to look and what to do to guarantee there will be no smoke odor remaining after completion of repairs.
